So yesterday I was honored at my very own bridal shower. My sister, Melissa and the bridesmaids put together an amazing afternoon of fun. I have been celebrating other brides at their bridal showers for years now and it was so strange having this one be just for me. I didn't have to make the ribbon bouquet, write down the gifts, collect the trash or plan the games....it was quite wonderful to be honest. There was fabulous food (thank you bridal party) and great conversations. I felt so overwhelmed to have this many people come out to celebrate me and be excited for ME! Bryan and I have been truly overwhelmed by people's generosity to us through this whole engagement journey. We have received such huge blessings each step of the way and know that the Lord has had His hand through this process. We really have felt God's stamp of approval on our soon to be marriage and we cannot wait to actually be married! I can't wait to call him my husband!!! After the shower, Bryan and I went back to our place (where he is currently living) and put all our new appliances away....I never thought I would be so excited about a crock pot in my life!!! Although we were exhausted when we were finding a home for everything, we truly enjoyed setting up home...our home! It all feels a little surreal right now, but I am sure when I am in my wedding dress staring at my man down the isle...it will all sink in! What a great celebratory weekend this has been!!! Thank you everyone for making me feel so special!
Unfortunately I don't have any photos of the shower on my camera, but I am waiting to get some photos from friends who were there...so come back in a few days!
